The powers of tissue regeneration

Did you know that many animals including humans to some capacity, have the ability to regenerate parts of themselves? It could be something massive like a limb in lizards or relatively small as the liver in case of humans. Will be exploring this and more in the next post!

How did you deal with covid at home?

Most people are vaccinated now and don't have very severe symptoms. Have you had covid since vaccinating? If so, how was it different and what did you do to make yourself feel better?

What is something you do to make yourself more employable and successful as an employee?

I have realized that having a job as an adult is not as easy as it may have seemed and I wonder if there are things that people do or have started to do since joining the workforce to make the most out of this experience.

Why do/don't you wear a mask?

I ask this because I've heard a lot of people talk about how they don't wear a mask as much anymore because they're not scared of COVID or because they don't feel like it is severe enough anymore to require such precaution. There are often outbursts from people when denied entry to certain establishments without a mask because they feel like it is an infringement on their freedom. I personally do not agree with any of that because i think wearing a mask is still important to avoid further... Being a part of nature for posterity.

Death is a grim subject and people often avoid talking or thinking about it. However, when they do reach a point where death is a real possibility; people like to pick how their physical being leaves this worlds. The common ones that people pick from are burial and cremations. They may have special wishes about how they'd like their ashes scattered, if at all. The more unique request would be to have the ashes turned into a synthetic diamond so as to allow the family to feel close to the... (More)

If you could turn your dream of returning to nature after death into a reality and be remembered for eternity, would you do it?

What if I told you that human remains can be turned into a living breathing part of the ocean ecosystem? Would you find it fascinating or gruesome?

What do you think is the most thoughtful Christmas gift?

We often give gifts just for the sake of it but keeping in mind the main spirit of Christmas what do you think would be a thoughtful gift?

Statue disease that can make the curse of Medusa a reality!

Statue disease or Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva, is a rare genetic disorder where parts of your tissue start turning to bone. It is the unusual bone development in parts of the body where there shouldn't be bone. Imagine having your tendons, ligaments and other connective tissues become stiff and bony with injury or illness. One may think that all they need to do to avoid having their connective tissue to bone is avoid getting hurt. However, even the stress of daily movement and such... (More)

was anyone else slightly unsettled by the age difference and casting in the all too well video?

I was pretty young when Taylor actually dated Jake and so I didn't really understand how odd it was for a 29-year-old to be going out with a 19-year-old person. It was only when I saw the short film that I realized how big of an age difference it was. I understand that as adults age is not exactly that big of a deal but I also feel like that only applies to more mature people. I am 23 now and the idea of going out with a 19-year-old seems preposterous to me at least.

Do you think artists are ready to take on touring again?

The unfortunate events at the Travis Scott concert make me wonder if it's too early to be going back to large events such as this.

Do you celebrate Halloween? If so what are your favorite Halloween memories and activities?

Halloween isn't a big thing in my culture and so I have always been a bit fascinated by it. I'd love to hear about how people around the world celebrate it.

Has the lack of structure in modern romance pushed people towards alternative forms of intimacy?

I have noticed that most people now set more concrete ground rules and conditions for their unlabelled relationships in lieu of getting into conventional romantic couples. It is excellent that we are more conscious of how to proceed with our relationships and that people are more confident about voicing their needs and limits. It has, however, made me realize that a lot of these people, myself included, don't want anything outlandish or new. We all want to be treated with respect and expect the... (More)

NETosis

Visualize this, almost all the cells in your body have a nucleus. The nucleus contains your DNA which is the blueprint to your physical and mental self. Everything you are physically, mentally, and on a molecular level is stored in this DNA. Considering the complexity of our bodies as well as the accumulated excess DNA from evolution, the DNA should be a hefty set of molecules! True to that, if extended to its full length, the human DNA comes out to be six feet long. That is two meters worth of... (More)

How does one file taxes if they're self-employed?

I'm not sure I understand how people do their taxes in general very well. I am even more confused about how people who run businesses or are self-employed do it. Does anyone have any insight into this matter? It is mostly a curiosity question, and I would love to hear from people with first-hand experience.

How should one combat recurrent neck pain?

As we get older, our bodies become less agile and a lot more vulnerable to injury. It may not be entirely accurate for all of us, but it seems true for most. One major issue that I hear about from friends and family is stiff necks and shoulders. We spend so much of our time in front of screens, be it a laptop, phone, or kindle that the consequent bad posture seems to have become a part of our life. What are some ways in which we can avoid this? Do you have any personal hacks to work on bad... (More)

What are some good ways to beat quarantine blues?

Many people are required to quarantine due to work and travel requirements these days, and it can be a really isolating experience. How do you think one can tackle these moments of solitude bordering on loneliness? What has helped you come out of these periods of self-isolation as well-rested as opposed to emotionally frayed?
