Why can't Elon Musk and other billionaires help to feed everyone? I ask this, because all of these rich billionaires out there, and yet we have a world where people live in severe poverty. Why is it that someone like Elon Musk, can have up to $6 billion dollars, but can't give every person in the world a bump in money. Same with Bill Gates, and other billionaires out there. When you are so rich, why is it that your workers are paid so low? Why is it that people who work for Amazon, can barely live week to week sometimes?

Why can't the people who run McDonalds, Burger King, and other famous fast food joints also help? What about Wal-mart, target, and the many big retail stores? I feel like there's so much these rich people and corporations can do. Why not hand out some money instead of talking about how you want to change the world to stop poverty. These rich people, have the funds to change the world, yet they horde most of it and never use it. Spend the money, help us. People like Elon Musk don't need 6 billion dollars. So why is it that he can't give money away to some in need? I heard most of these rich people out there, could afford to give $1 million per person and guess what, they'd still be billionaires. It wouldn't make a dent in their wallets

But no, they can fund missions to Mars, to space, to the moon, but can't help the people in poverty down here. It just makes me sad when all these rich people out there, could save so many lives with their money, and yet they do the minimal and nothing more. :( Sorry for the rant. I just feel like the rich can support the poor a bit more. people are struggling, and I wish more of the rich would step up.

I think people are just selfish and at some point start to see their unethical practices as hard work. If billionaires paid their employees well and worked in sustainable ways, they won't be billionaires anymore and that isn't even a bad thing. I do not think anyone needs that much money but capitalism and greed have made it such that a small number of people hoard all the wealth in the world and normal people admire them for it. Tax the rich and hold them accountable.

I used to think like you guys. Tax the rich, selfish billionaires...

But here's something for you to ponder on. World organisations are not only corrupt but clueless at times.

Recently, the UN pressed billionaires like Elon Musk to donate a fraction of their wealth to solving world hunger. Elon responsed by saying, if they could show him the blueprint, he would send about 6 billion to fix the problem

There is no such blueprint. At least not yet. Because there never will be

The solution to world hunger is not to hand people food; that would only reduce starvation which will only return again twofold.

Indeed, the solution is to encourage these starved individuals to FARM.

That's all there is to it. Encourage people to grow their food. It's not so hard. So why aren't these organisations doing that?

I'll tell you why; because it's way easier to start charity organisations, request funds for so called 'World hunger initiatives' and profit from it.

It's a no brianer.
