I was never someone who read books all that much growing up. I read a lot more now than I ever did. I like to read about history, health, animals, etc.

I guess if I had to pick a favorite childhood book, I would have to pick a series. I know I enjoyed collecting and reading Goosebumps growing up.

I'm glad you asked this question because I love talking about the things I read as a child. I honestly believe that the thrill of reading as a child is unparalleled. I can not think of any adult experiences that made me as happy and excited as reading a book as a child.

I used to read a lot of Enid Blyton in the beginning so the famous five, the secret seven and such were series that I read and re-read over and over in middle school. I used to love reading the hardy boys because of the adventures they went on. I was a big fan of Roald Dahl and loved books like Charlie and the chocolate factory, Danny the champion of the world etc. I also loved to kill a mocking bird. Although I didn't quite understand the book as a child, the experience of reading it at different ages really showed me how our understanding of literature widens as we grow in age. I read a lot of classics as I entered my teens so books like Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre and Little Women hold a special place in my heart.
