I noticed that when my anxiety is bad or getting worse, it helps to get out of my comfort zone and socialize. Being around people, even just passively saying a few words to a stranger in a store helps a lot. I think people are realizing how much social interactions matter in terms of mental health since COVID-19 and all the lockdowns and restrictions got put in place.

Whenever I have panic attacks, I meditate . It has helped me a lot. I sometimes run around in the park near my home or run up and down the stairs 2 or 3 times.

I think a great technique that can help keep anxiety at bay is to leave in the present. Most anxieties are triggered by worrying about things that haven’t happened yet and probably won`t happen.  Another great technique that can help is listening to music that can motivate and lift up your spirits. I silence my worries and fears by listening to gospel music.

One or so hour chat over the phone or over a cup of coffee or a glass of beer is enough to distract me from whatever I'm worried or anxious about. Having good, reliable, and trusted friends to chat with whenever you need them really helps a ton to feel less alone in stressful situations.
