We know that poor nutrition is related to heart problems, high blood pressure, and a host of other health ailments. You might even know that studies show that eating junk food have been linked to dementia due to high blood pressure and cholesterol disrupting the blood supply to the brain.

I think a lot happens in the body but in the brain in particular? You get a surge of feel-good hormones. You have a dopamine release. In the moment, you feel amazing but then it hits you and you crash shortly after. You feel bloated, tired, lazy, your mind is all fogged up, and you just don't feel motivated to do anything. This is why anytime I eat junk foods, I limit the portion and I follow it up with something super healthy. Like if I eat a burger and fries, I will get small sizes and then eat raw carrots after.
