I love how the noise somehow dims during winter. It is as if everyone shares a silence and only warmth can disrupt it. There's a collective pause, a slowing down of things before they get into action. One of the best feelings is of sleeping in during the cold months. Also how come there's always a mood for hot and spicy food as well as soups? I can go on and on about what I love during the winters, considering they're my favourite, but I LOVE to just sit under the covers and maybe read, or do absolutely nothing. To conclude, I would say that warmth is the best part about these wintery months!

The biggest thing is the lack of bugs. I hate bugs. Outside of that is the holidays and togetherness. I love the season where family comes together to spend time with each other. I get to see a lot of people I only see a few times of the year so it is a treat. I also love the feeling of being cold and going into a warm cozy home.
Familial warmth is something one can look forward to during winters. I hope you get to have a great time with your friends and family!

@debkatz78 - Oh for sure, being rid of bugs for a few months or more, is nice. I can't stand bugs and that time is so great not having to deal with them. But, you can still get other creepy crawlies in your home during the winter season, spiders especially.
As for what I like best about winter, idk, I suppose I'd say it's a tease towards the holidays, towards Christmas for me. I am not a fan of it most of the time, due to it being annoying to shovel, and of course the cold. But it is fun to play in for sure. Playing king of the hill back in the day, was a blast growing up. I miss going out there and playing in the snow like a kid.
Completely forgot about the spiders Prepping for the holidays with all the buzz in the air really gets to you. I really hope that you could go out there and still have fun in the snow, one way or another, like a kid. Here's wishing you get to that!

I hate long queues and crowds. So, winter is when I actually get to have the chance to visit places (especially Onsen) I love without having to deal with the long and boring wait plus the pushing and shoving. Another special thing I love about winter is the lack of bugs as others have mentioned. I’m not terrified of them, I just hate them, especially the unwanted ones like cockroaches, mosquitoes, and house flies. Winter is when I actually get the chance to tell the bugs to bug off.
Visits to the Onsen must be nice and relaxing. Yes, the bugs may bug off

I love winter because of all the bugs which I don't like to die. You can go outside anywhere you want without being bitten by mosquitoes. There are no flies in the winter so we can let the door open as long as we want, and the most beautiful thing about winter is watching big fat snowflakes from the windows. If you're sitting in the back seat of the car you can enjoy the snowflakes

Yes, I completely agree. There are no mosquitoes during this season. What a relief! I wouldn't leave the doors open for too long, though, because it's freezing outside!
