Honesty comes on top for me. I want to be with someone who I can trust and who can trust me as well with zero reservations. if we don’t/can't trust each other, it’s only a matter of time we realize we aren’t meant to be together. Someone who is not manipulative, possessive, or overly jealous. It sucks when your partner demands to know your every move. I certainly don’t want to be with someone that`s disposed to anger or flies off the handle when we have a little disagreement.

The most important qualities for me are: Who`s my partner's friends with. One that`s not physically or morally abusive and is morally upright Trust is definitely one of the qualities and most importantly, would she make a great spouse for me?

Honestly/loyalty, communication skills, how they manage stress, and shared beliefs/worldviews.
I am married now so I am not exactly looking anymore but when I was considering our relationship advancing to the next level (marriage) we spoke about everything and laid it all out on the table. We make sure we were communicating our needs, desires, made sure we both trusted each other, and we could grow closer together spiritually and emotionally.

I agree with all the answers before me; honesty is one of the most important things in a relationship and without it we would get nowhere. I personally look for someone who doesn't force a change in my life. I don't want to be with someone who might need me to change who I am or how I live to be able to be with them. I'd rather have a partner who seamlessly fits into my life and makes it easier and happier than it already is.
