Never! lol just kidding. But in all seriousness, when my future kids get to that age where they want to start dating. I will let them when they are ready. It's hard to say when the time is right, because I or my future wife couldn't say. I think most kids date around the age of 10 and up. But mostly in the teenage years is when kids start to really date.

I know I'd be scared of my future daughter or son going out there and dating at a really young age, but when the time comes, all you can do is be there for them. I don't think I'd force my child to not see someone, unless that someone happened to be an adult, in which case I wouldn't let my kid date that person.

I think when I do have kids, my views may change some, but for now, this is how I feel.

I remember growing up and not really being interested in boys until I was around the age of 13. It is different for everyone though. I know of a girl who is 8 and has a boyfriend. She is my friend's niece. They hold hands and go on "dates" but they don't have any clue how anything is meant to work. I think they do it just because they see it in cartoons. I feel like it is a bit too young to let your kid be in that mindset though. I think dating should wait until at least the age of 12.

You can not stop your kids from dating either you can order them for not dating until they are x years old. The fact is it all depends. Kids are developing romantic relationships themselves and you can never stop them from it. The only thing we can do is just encourage them to keep their relation and friendship equal. So their romantic interest won't affect their life
