Yes sure, things are a little safer now than before. But that doesn't mean something like that won't happen again. Actually, the terror attacks have taken another form. And they are utilizing biological methods. This means that the magnitude of future attacks will be catastrophic

I believe it helped us become more secure than ever. After 9/11, the US took security very seriously. Something like 9/11 happening again, is likely very slim to none. But, I imagine it could still happen.

Anyway, since these 20 years, we've had countless mass shootings across the country since. It's as if we found one issue, and added another issue on top. But, I still believe we as a nation, are a lot safer than ever. Of course, there are still bad people who want to do bad things. That's inevitable, but I believe for the most part we're in the safest time ever.

Safer from terrorism, sure but not our own government. I think things have gotten worse with our own government. I can't trust them just the same as half the country can't. They have every reason not to with everything that has happened in the last 10+ years. We aren't safe from totalitarianism. It is on the rise and people are allowing it more and more each day. Before we know it, we will be just like China. It is a scary thought. We are not protected from internal threats at all.
