Time travel has always been one of the greatest fantasies for mankind. Who does not wish to change the past or see the future.WHAT IF I HAD A TIME MACHINE? :

I've thought of this question a lot. Because I would love to be able to go back to the start of my life and relive it all with what I know now. Of course, that then brings in a new issue. The fact of going back in time sounds cool, until you change the past. Think about it this way. If you go back in time, and try to change anything, it could have a ripple effect and could change the course of history. They call it the butterfly effect, as in whatever action you take, can create a new path on that timeline, changing your own history.
If you go back in time and, say, take out a horrible dictator. What happens after. Does a new person come to power? Will it result in a different war? What if you change something to which we no longer have it?
There's just too much risk with going back in time, because you could alter many people's lives in the current timeframe. Let's say you go back in time to date the girl of your dreams. The one who got married young and had three kids with her jock of a husband. But, if you go back in time, and try to date her instead. Those kids cease to be, they will never be. And who knows, maybe one of those kids are a future president, author, prized fisherman, idk. Could be anyone.
So you gotta think about the repercussions of traveling back in time, but it would be worse in terms of changing history. And I don't think I could live with that. There's a lot I would like to do, but with each change you make, you're potentially changing the world.
It's all well and good to try and change history for the better, but you have to realize that any change, even small could result in a domino effect of changes, that could be good, or could be really bad. So as much as I hate to say it, i don't think I'd go back in time to change anything. This is our one life and we have to make do with it.
Also, wanted to address the post above me, these two points:
I would eliminate violence from our world - Not possible. As much as we dream of this being a reality, there is no way we can eliminate violence. Humans are violent by nature, just like most mammals. It's part of our DNA. And even so, there will always be violence. How would we change people violent tendencies? There will always be one or two people who want to cause harm.
I would make a peaceful world that everybody loves to be in - Again not possible. We live in a world of animals, and we may be able to bring in a lot of peace, but there will always be people who want to run against the grain and do their own thing.

I would want to be a mere bystander to times that were present in the past and times that are now gone. I'd like to revisit moments of love and care that have passed us by, periods that are noteworthy in their own right. I'd simply want to cherish them. I'll make sure to remember how I came to be, because of the love, care, innumerable sacrifices made, perseverance put to the test, and how I, along with my loved ones, rose out of them.
I really enjoyed answering this question because it got me back to some beautiful memories of the past. Thank you for asking this question.

I would make subtle changes to the timeline and try to avert future disasters through it. I feel like any significant changes would turn out to be disastrous, so I'd do just enough to move things in the right direction.
