How would you feel if a close pal disinvited you at the eleventh hour with no plausible reason?

I'm going to be honest: I'd feel pretty bad. Like, very bad indeed. Like, I'm pretty much the kind of person who would go out of my way to make sure that someone else feels comfortable and happy, and the idea that someone close to me could just... not care enough about my feelings?

It's hard for me to wrap my head around. It's not just about the fact that they didn't invite me. It's also about the fact that they don't seem to care what their own actions are doing to other people. It makes me think that maybe they're not even trying to be nice.

And if you can't even do something as simple as inviting someone somewhere, how do you expect them to trust you with anything else?

I think it depends. There may be a valid reason for disinviting you, maybe they cancelled whatever it was you were invited to. It could also be due to not being welcome by the other people or something along those lines.

It does suck when a friend decides to bail on you, or decides to take you out of the event/party, but sometimes things happen.

If it was a close friend of mine, and we discussed it for weeks on end, and then I'm no longer invited, I will question my friend and ask what's up.

Since we're talking about a close friend, I won't mind. However, I'd still be left confused. The only way out of this is if the person gives me a reason for it, so I can try to understand it from their end. If that's not it, and they bailed on me for nothing, it's going to hurt me and will have me go into an overthinking drive where I'll be looking for reasons and hints here and there, and making assumptions everywhere.
