I`m a tad selective when it comes to choosing my friends. Because as the sayings go, ``show me your friends and I will tell you who you are, ` you become who you hang with,`` We are a product of the people we surround ourselves with.` The number quality I look for in choosing a friend is loyalty. Being a good friend transcends just acting friendly. A genuine friend should be loyal to me and my best interests as well. I honestly believe that genuine friends are attracted to you by what you are, by your innate qualities, and not by what they can get out of you. I usually avoid the dishonest and inconsiderate ones, plus those that pride themselves on being the smartest people on earth.

I am not always very picky with the kind of friends i keep. But i would say i only keep those that i can trust with my life. For me, trust is the only major thing that can build or break friendship or even a relationship. A friend you can trust will take a bullet for you instead of making you look bad or pushing you down. I would say that when it comes to friendship, the priority is how trustworthy s/he is first.

I never chose friends in terms of qualities. If someone wants to become a friend of mine then I don't mind hanging out. Friends are not what we chose it just happens when you meet someone and they appear without realizing it.

For me, I never really picked my friends. Usually it was going to school, and I became friends with people who were in my class. So in a weird way, we make friends with people where we go.

For me, I just like having friends who are funny, fun to hang out with, are smart, kind etc. As long as we respect one another, that's that.
