How do you deal with your anxieties?

When it comes to anxiety, it can be an utter burden on one's life. I have anxiety myself and I hate it. I've tried therapy and even medication, and while that has helped a lot, it hasn't taken my anxieties away. Of course I am in a much better place mentally than I ever was. What about you though?

The first step to dealing with anxiety is to 'admit you have anxiety'

Many people struggle with racing thoughts and never for once acknowledge that its ruining their lives. This is a big red flag.

Anxiety, like fear, love, is just another emotion of it's own. Therefore it's important to treat it as an important emotion to the concept of self-awareness.  

We become anxious about certain things because our subconscious wants us to think about these things; to really analyse what's going wrong in our lives.

The more you acknowledge your anxiety, the better you'll be able to control it. You dont need medication. You may need therapy, but only you can fix your anxiety.

The best way to stop anxious thoughts is to walk away from the situation. I try to identify triggers on my own or with a therapist. Sometimes they can be obvious, Exercising regularly, eating balanced meals, getting enough sleep, and staying connected to people who care about me are great ways to stave off anxiety symptoms.

There are various techniques to deal with anxiety which could be helpful when you are going through that time. To tackle It, one should identify the source of stress and anxiety and manage their feelings according to the situation. One could take support from people around them by discussing and sharing their feelings. Lastly, one should remind himself to stay calm and positive in his thoughts and behaviors.

I have anxiety and panic attacks. Have done so for the last 14 years. In my experience, it helps to stay busy and social. Anxiety gets worse when you shut people out and stay home. I use maca root to help with my panic attacks. If I can feel myself getting anxious, I will take one of those (I buy the powder-filled caps) and within 20 min I feel better. I also take them before leaving the house since I am prone to having panic attacks in cars.
