Just wondering... humans can have an annual physical examination to make sure we stay healthy. I have a cat and she's about 6 years old. Does she need an annual physical exam? If so, how much does it cost without pet insurance?

I'd say yes. Your cat is 6 years old, she's probably at the middle of her life at this point, so making sure she's checked over every year, is probably a good idea. It is probably recommended that you at least get them checked every year, and have shots up to date.
Without pet insurance, it may cost a lot. There may be payment plans for some places, but some may require payment in full. It really depends on the veterinarian and how much they price.
