Will you get the PS5?

Sony announced the other day that the PS5 is coming out on Nov 12 for $499 and the digital only version for $399. Are you going to get the PS5 when it comes out or wait awhile for it?

I think anyone who hasn't locked in a preorder will have trouble getting it this year. I saw a bunch of people complaining that scalpers are already posting them on eBay. Such a shame they can't control that mess. Either way, had I intended on getting a PS5, I wouldn't be getting it this year. I never get a console the first year it releases.

Yea a few of my students told me that they've pre-ordered (or their dads did for them) the PS5. I knew I wasn't going to get the PS5 in the next year anyways so don't need to worry about that but yea such a shame that there will always be scalpers.

I think there is no choice here! Or rather, sony will not give you many options. This console will be very expensive but we will just have to buy it. Because Sony will tactically reduce support for the older versions consoles. They will also force you towards the new console by developing more games for the new version and limit the upgrades and development of the old consoles. Anyway, that is just how the tech industry survives.
They make you feel new is always better. And push you towards the new gadgets, which may sometimes be an unnecessary purchase. Because 5-10 months later, they will release another even "Newer"!
