I would say dog I've not had a dog for a little while now and I must say the cats have grown on me. They totally have a lot of personality too though. I'm used to having dogs and cats, one of our cats loved the dog more than any of us! It was like the dogs cat.

I used to have tons of cats and a cute dog when I was young. My mom decided to give the dog away when he suddenly started growling and bitting our neighbors and visitors.  Though the decision to give him away was unanimous, it still saddens me up till this day, because I truly loved him. 

If I had to choose one, I would say dog, because they are so wired to love us without conditions, I think cats too.

Cats are easier to take care of than dogs, but I like dogs better. When I had a cat, he would stay with me for a little bit and then wander away lol but my dog is like glue, she follows me everywhere.
