The greatest emotional pain I ever felt was when I found out that my girlfriend whom neighbors, friends, and people who knew us called "my wife", because of how close we were together, slept with one of my best friends when I was away on a business trip for a few months. It shattered my heart to a million pieces. We already envisioned the kind of life we were going to have: three kids, 2 boys, and one girl. Live together happily no matter what. It's been a few years and we both moved on different parts, but each time I relived it, I feel nothing but pain.

Sorry man. That is deep and really painful. It takes time for such pain to fade away, but it will eventually end and you will feel better. It is good you noticed early before committing and starting a family with here. It could have been worse.

Thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate it. I guess, as they say, things don't just happen, they happened for a reason. A huge part of me is glad that it happened, otherwise who knows what would have happened down the road after marriage? I think I dodged a bullet there.

Wow. That sucks big time. I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm glad you had the ego strength not to offer the cheat a second chance. Believe it or not, that would have upped the stake of your emotional pain. You got to let go of what was. I know as Bomb mentioned, letting go of what hurts us isn't easy but it's very vital for our progress.
