I don't think you need to see your friends to keep friendships. When a connection is real it will remain as is despite an increase in time and distance between the friends. I have friends I rarely speak to, who I would entrust with my life. On the other hand I have people I see everyday who I do not trust at all. Friendships are beautiful because the real ones last and stay alive regardless of how much or little you see one another.
